My name is Aysling Smythe and I am a writer from the United States. Thank you for taking the time to get to know a little about me.

Like many writers, writing in one form or another has been a fundamental part of my life. . .I wrote my first short story in the third grade; my first full-length mystery novel in the sixth grade (the novel was read aloud at my elementary school graduation); my first screen play in the ninth grade; and, my first science fiction novel in the twelfth grade. I also wrote several short stories, created and compiled collections of poetry, and composed longer informational pieces while completing my secondary school education.

I hold a BA in both English and History, and an MA in Education. As a newspaper journalist, I have written hundreds of articles ranging from hard news to human interest stories. My poetry has been published in three anthologies, and I have authored informational pieces on education and curriculum development. I have also taught writing in writer’s workshops and in specialized courses for several years.

I am currently developing and self-publishing the Timekept Series. E-book installments will appear four times a year as the seasons change.

Words definitely have their way with me, and I am very excited that now I have the time to follow where they lead. . .
